The Black Mage is an Ally type mob that may be found randomly in the world. The player must interact (right click) with the Black Mage to claim him as an Ally.
Dealing Damage[]
The Black Mage deals only in magical attacks. He will attack enemies with one of five spells with a 5 second cooldown between attacks:
- Lightning
- Explosion
- Ignite
- Poison
- Pain
Though not an attack, the Black mage can also sometimes throw enemies that get too close.
Taking Damage[]
The Black Mage will not survive long in a melee fight. Equipped only with leather armor, this Ally performs best at a distance. He is weak against melee and projectile attacks. He is, however, strong against Poison and Wither effects, and will take no damage from potion magic (ex. Potion of Harming). This Ally regains 1 HP every 30 seconds.
